I think people underestimate the power of Vision Boards. Vision boards are really one of the most powerful ways for you to use the Law of Attraction in your own life and there are several reasons why that is the case.
Why They Work
In a nutshell here are the reasons why using a vision board works to attract what you want into your life:
1. What you focus on becomes your reality.
2. Humans are hard-wired to be visual learners so using visual stimulus re-wires your brain very fast and efficiently.
3. Neuroplasticity: meaning our brains can be re-wired right up into old age.
4. Our intentional thoughts when coupled with joyous grateful emotions set into motion to attract the opportunities into our lives for us to then act upon.
Why They Don’t Work
So why do so many people create vision boards and then still not attract the relationship, money, job, home or whatever into their lives? I think the main reason is as follows:
People underestimate the amount of time they need to be spending focusing on their vision boards
That’s right, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Here’s my example of this problem. Someone wants to increase their income to six figures a year but all they’ve ever made per year is in the low five figures. They put together a vision board with affirmations and lots of images of money and prosperity. They spend maybe a couple of minutes a day looking at it and some days they forget to look at it at all. So their brain goes about thinking the thoughts and going about its habitual habits without any disruption.
It takes way more focused effort to re-program a brain so that the person recognizes and starts taking action on all the opportunities and people that start coming into your life that would facilitate you reaching your goals. Here are some other reasons people give:
Best Way To Get Vision Boards To Work For You
In my humble but psychologically based opinion (yep, I am a psychologist, since 1994), the absolute best way to maximize using vision boards is to use a video vision board. Video vision boards solve so many of the problems people have with using them that I listed above.
